Last Saturday a was a great day for Brogan! They took out his breathing tube and he was breathing room air with a tiny tiny bit of help. Every once in a while the poor little thing would be tired and forget to take a breath so they started giving him caffeine to stimulate his brain so that he wouldn't forgot that one little thing! :) Cade made sure to ask, "is it Mountain Dew?" haha, we all got a kick out of that!
Our families have been amazing, they have been at the hospital everyday to see their new little monkey! I can only hope he knows how much he is loved! We all took our turns throughout the day Saturday seeing Brog, and in the evening Cade and I got to go down there the two of us and hold him! That was a first time for me, it was so wonderful! I had to hold him skin to skin so that he didn't loose any body heat! I felt so bad I couldn't let Cade hold him for a while! He just laid there so content, he kept trying to open his eyes when Cade and I would visit, I love knowing that he knows our voices!
